About Us
Colorama Photo Lab was founded in 1979 by John Murphy as a full service photolab. In those days, Colorama processed color negative film, slide film as well as black and white film, for the discerning photographer that was looking for a better option than the traditional photo processors or mass merchandisers offered at the time. Throughout the 80s Colorama started focusing on the commercial sector as well as the professional photographers.
As we all witnessed the evolution of photography in the 1990s Colorama became a niche player specializing in a few high quality services at a reasonable price. We realized that in order to provide a superior product we had to specialize, or we would end up being just another mediocre option for the customer.
Today, we are strictly a digital lab as the last film machine was shut down in 2004 when the acceptability of the new medium became universal. We are proud to continue to use today Noritsu equipment exclusively, as well as Chromira printers for the large display work and only silver halide printing on Kodak paper and chemicals, as well as the latest Kodak’s DP2 algorithms to color correct every image handled, producing always the best looking product.

General Terms
We ship to all 50 United States and ship some items internationally via DHL or Fed-Ex (restrictions apply). We are not able to ship to APO/military addresses.
Shipping Method
We reserve the right to use a different shipping carrier (using a comparable service) than what was selected at checkout. Orders will be shipped using our preferred provider and we are unable to accommodate shipping orders on a customer's personal shipping account.
Tracking Information
We will email tracking numbers to your order at the time of shipment or as soon as they are available.
Address Changes
If your order is processing and you need to change the shipment address, a redirect fee of $11 may apply.
Refused Delivery
If you elect to refuse the delivery of the items you ordered from Colorama Photolab or return items without requesting a RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization), a 20% restocking fee plus original shipping charges will be billed to the card on file.
Timing of Your Shipment
You are responsible for choosing the appropriate shipping method in determining the timing of your delivery. For guaranteed delivery by a specific date, you may need to choose an expedited shipping method. If you have any questions about the timing of your shipment, please contact us prior to placing your order.
Damaged Merchandise
Items are carefully packaged to protect against damage during shipping. Please carefully inspect your package when it arrives for any shipping damage. If an item appears to be damaged, do not attempt to use it and notify us immediately so that we can begin the claims process.
